WHAMglobal is hosting an art showcase, part of Birthing a Movement: Taking Back Motherhood, on June 8-9 in Pittsburgh. Community Conversation on Teen Mental Health
You're invited to join the JCC of Pittsburgh for “A Community Conversation on Teen Mental Health” with Dr. Jean Twenge on Sunday, April 28 from 4-6 pm at the JCC in Squirrel Hill. Understanding how the world of electronics and social media impacts our children isn’t easy and is a still evolving and emerging topic. She will speak about the mental health effects on teens being addicted to their smartphones and social media. Register here.
Patient Safety Fellowship now accepting applicaitons
The 2019 Patient Safety Fellows will also have the unique opportunity to work with the newly developed Pennsylvania Perinatal Quality Collaborative members to analyze processes and identify contextual factors that impact the application, spread, and sustainability of their comprehensive perinatal programs in the Commonwealth. The Patient Safety Fellowship prepares recent and current graduate students to apply emerging methods and strategies in implementation science, team-based problem-solving, and continuous quality improvement for healthcare settings. Youth Activists Headed to Harrisburg for Mental Health Awareness Day
Members of Jewish Healthcare Foundation's Youth Advocacy Network are heading to Mental Health Awareness Day 2019 in Harrisburg, PA on May 6, 2019. Held at the Rotunda in Harrisburg from 2:30 to 3:30pm, our youth will have the opportunity to address attendees and take meetings with legislators to share their concerns regarding teen mental health.
